Our client, a forward-thinking Engineering company in Nigeria that specializes in the use of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) trucks for sustainable transportation solutions is in need to fill the position below:
LOCATION: LAGOS OR BENIN
JOB VACANCY: CNG TRUCK FLEET MANAGER
RESPONSIBILITIES
❖ Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily operations of the CNG truck fleet to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
❖ Lead and manage a team of drivers, mechanics, and support staff.
❖ Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
❖ Analyze fleet performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
❖ Prepare and present regular reports on fleet performance, costs, and compliance to senior management.
❖ Monitor and control fleet-related expenses, including fuel, maintenance, and repairs.
❖ Develop and manage budgets for fleet operations.
❖ Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising safety or efficiency.
❖ Ensure that all fleet operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards. ❖ Maintain accurate records of vehicle registrations, inspections, and certifications.
❖ Ensure that all trucks are regularly maintained and serviced according to manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
❖ Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field. A relevant certification in fleet management is a plus.
❖ At least 5 years of experience in fleet management, with a focus on CNG trucks or alternative fuel vehicles.
❖ Proven track record of managing a large fleet and leading a team.
WORKING CONDITIONS
❖ May require travel to various locations to oversee fleet operations.
❖ Willingness to work outside of regular business hours as needed.
